Ancient Hampi

THE TRIP TO HAMPI KARNATAKA, January 15, 16 2011 - I am 9 yrs and 6 months old

I went to Hampi with my friends Reshma, Ruhi, Rahul, Asha, Neel, Sachi, Ria, Nickhil and Masu. We went to Hampi by a special, private bogie that was attached to the train.

We saw ancient temples built around gigantic rocks.

In the temples there were carvings of Gods. And each carving had a story. The temples were dedicated to gods Krishna, Ganesh, Narishma and goddess Lakshmi.

I loved the restarant called Mango tree, which was set up like a village near a river. The food was fresh and simple and very tasty.

We also went to the ancient king's palace. And in front of the kings palace there were horse markets and they look like dominoes in the Rube Goldberg experiment.

The buildings in the king's palace had good archeticture. When rain fell on the carvings of the walls of the dancing hall, it created musical notes. Our guide showed us how and it was awesome.

I enjoyed my time because there were so many of my friends with me.

We also went for trek on the rocky mountain and reached the peak, we were very hot and sweaty.

On the way back we got to go in the special train again. We got a special visit to the train engine and spoke to the train driver.

I'll never forget the trip to Hampi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GREEN WAYANAD

THE TRIP TO KERALA - MAY 1, 2 2009 (I AM 7 YRS AND 10 MTHS OLD)
I went to Wayanad with my friends Sid and Adi - and our family. The car drive took 7 hours.

I think Wayanad was very, very green. There are patterns of tea and coffee plantations on the hills. Kerala was not as dirty as Bangalore.
We played cricket in a small house. We saw flowers and vegetables in the garden. I liked the touch me nots and the red chillies.

We saw huge jackfruits and small green papaya.
It rained really hard and rough After the rain, we went to dinner - and we saw leaches.
We were staying near a deep and green valley - and we saw a tree house, which was broken. We also saw 2 huts.

There was no electricity and no TV.

We saw monkeys, a herd of wild elephants and played in the waterfall.

The trip was awesome and I want to live there!
